Story filed: It's not looking to good out there

Hello there, I hope you are well. Now, I'm sure you're all aware of the current situation that has the world all shaken up. I'm talking about the invasion of Ukraine. It certainly isn't looking too good with Russia nearly at Ukraine's capital. I do hope that this does not reach a point where it leads to all out war, so far it's just Russia and Ukraine and to be honest I don't feel I know enough of the situation to say anything about this apart from that it's pretty bad and there is already a lot of people dead, both Russian and Ukrainian, and that no one wants this to happen. But Russia is showing no sign of stopping. I believe they are only going to stop when they have all of Ukraine. I think all we can do now is to see what happens next.

Story filed: Nothing too important

For today's column I don't have much to write about. In fact, I have no thing to write about. So, in an attempt to fill in the column space I will be writing about nothing. Nothing in particular and nothing in general. What is 'nothing'? Pronoun - not anything; no single thing. Adjective - having no prospect of progress; of no value. It is also the name of a surprising amount of songs! And in one more Google search for 'nothing' later, I now have a fairly good grasp on what 'nothing' is. Nothing is that dead space in your living room, nothing is anything that is not in front of you..... if that makes sense. All in all, it's nothing. For this column I don't have much in fact I don't have anything, I have nothing..... but...... if I look at this as a glass half full I do have something, we all have something. Do you know what that is? It's a small paragraph of words that a nondescript 14 year old boy wrote on nothing and that probably took a minute or so of your life to read. You're welcome.
