Story filed: Making a pond

Hi people, it's Leo here. Today I am going to talk about making things. This weekend, mum and I did what we've been meaning to do for a while. So, here's the picture: we removed the old bath tub (we had to hire someone to do it as we were exhausted) and then we got the bath tub outside. We had to cut some rusted pipes so that it slowed us down as we had to borrow a grinder. We also plugged the drain. So then we found a spot to dig a bath tub sized hole because we were going to make a pond out of it. so we dug a hole and we kept digging until it fitted. when it did - Bob's your Uncle. Afterwards, we decorated the surrounds with rocks and garden ornaments etc. Now we have a mini pond in the backyard. I hope it attracts a lot of birds and insects and frogs.

Hi people, it's Leo here. Today I am going to talk about trains. Did you know that there's a new railway museum on Havannah Street? I'm really excited for the opening. It's a really cool building - they've even got an old fashioned train carriage outside and lot's of model train sets. I've heard that there's a really big train inside!. The train museum used to be an old tennis court and the old railway institute building that fell in to disrepair, actually my next door neighbour used to play tennis there. I really can't wait until it opens, which is actually really soon. See you there.

Hi people, it's Leo here. Today I am going to talk about space. Have you ever wondered what it's like in space? I have. I've always wondered what it's like to be an astronaut, to see the world in a different environment, to see what's it's like to eat in zero gravity. I think it would be great to be an astronaut. It may come with risks but that risk or an ordinary day? No contest - space it is. Maybe one day I might see that magnificent view astronaut's see every day.....who knows?

Hi people, it's Leo here. Today I am going to talk about imaginitis. My head is always swirling around with ideas of things that I want to make a reality. So far at the moment, I've got two ideas, one of them is to make a robot like thing out of old electronic bits and meccano. It's not yet been built but some time soon it will be. And the other idea is a pedal powered go-kart. I got the inspiration from an activity I did before and I thought I would add-on, so I did. Well....I better get started!
