Hi people it's Leo here. Today I'll be talking about picking apples with my mum. Have you ever noticed how Bathurst is full of fruit trees, overgrown with ripe summer fruit......and no one to pick them? My guess is that there must be some people who pick the fruit from the trees but most of the trees I walk past are just left there for their fruit to fall and rot or be eaten by birds. It's just such a big waste. You can make so many yummy things out of all that fruit. There's this one tree in a nature reserve that is an amazing apple tree. It's so big and has so many apples and they're untouched apart from the occasional worm or two and these apples are delicious. My mum and I just recently picked some and brought them home to make some cooked applesauce. Cooked apples are delicious with some cream or crumble topping - scrumdiddlyumptious.
Until next time
